consultaion-550wide-2Your Thoughts and Feelings Matter

Just as we take time to properly assess your lifestyle and health history, we also make sure to personalize and customize the fitting of your new hearing aid.

Your Fraser Valley Beltone Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioner will program your hearing aids to your specific hearing loss.  We do this using our proprietary Solus™ fitting software. This software is patient-focused. This means your thoughts and feelings are fundamental to the process and your full input creates the most positive outcome. As part of this consultative process we:

  • Show you pictures of a variety of Beltone hearing instruments from which to select
  • Recommend specific environmental programs based on your lifestyle needs
  • Program and adjust your selected instruments based on your specific hearing loss
  • Review and save all settings for follow-up visits

During the fitting process, we also review the many features your Beltone hearing aids offer. Our goal: to make your listening experience second to none. Adjusting to your new hearing aids can happen the moment you put them on, or take a few days.  The initial adjustment may seem overwhelming at first, given all the sounds your ears are re-exposed to.

However, slowly but surely, the world will start to sound “in synch”.  If you are a first-time hearing aid wearer, you should begin, after a couple of weeks, to enjoy the sounds of chirping birds, laughing children, and rain on the roof.  You should also no longer be aware of insignificant sounds.

At Fraser Valley Beltone, we recommend a visit about two to four weeks after you get your new hearing aids. At that time, we’ll be happy to fine-tune them as necessary.
